• Neem oil is excellent to treat acne and fungal infections. Lightly dab undiluted neem oil onto the required areas of your face using a cotton swab. Let it soak in for up to 20 minutes. Use warm water to wash off the oil.
• Tulsi is excellent to be used as a brightening face mask. Mix grounded tulsi leaves and milk in equal proportions. Apply this paste on your face. Scrub it off after 20 minutes.
• Take orange peel powder and yoghurt in 1:2 proportions. Apply the paste on the face and wash off after 20 minutes. This paste is an instant rejuvenating face pack.
• Saffron works well to reduce pigmentation. Soak a few strands of saffron in clean water. Add this water to 2 tbsp of turmeric powder. Apply this paste and then wash off after 15 minutes.
• Aloe vera is an excellent moisturizer. Use the gel directly from an aloe vera plant and leave it on your face overnight.
• Rose oil protects skin against sun damage. You could apply a few drops of rose oil directly to your skin.
• Sandalwood has a soothing effect on skin inflammation. Apply its paste on the face and leave it on overnight. Wash it off with plain water.
• Amla works wonders for hair growth. Apply a freshly-squeezed amla juice directly on the scalp. Massage your scalp. Leave the juice on for an hour.
• Boil 2 tbsp of shikakai powder in 2 cups of water to make a semi-liquid paste. Add water and honey to it. Apply this paste to your scalp. Rinse your hair with water. This paste helps increase hair shine.
• Olive oil and almond oil are excellent skin moisturizers. Apply them to your skin on your whole body.
• Use shea butter alone or with essential oil to moisturize your skin. It is excellent to alleviate inflammatory conditions of the skin.
